About Me

I'm not a huge fan of bio pages.  It's supposed to be where we display every good thing about ourselves so that we can sound attractive and inspiring to the public.

I was recently creating a resume to get another (emphasis on "another") job and I was frustrated by my resume.  You know, you exaggerate what you need to in order to sound desirable for the job.  Finally I facebooked a friend and said,
"how come my resume can't be something like this:
- I can write 100 songs in 45 days.
- I climb 30,000 steps, the equivalent of mount everest every week at the gym
- I administrate 4 kids lives in 50% of the time and money
- I can write, direct and tour a dance show as a side project while running my own dance school's year end recital
- I can fly to Australia, arrive at 5:00pm and perform at 7:00
- I can run a half marathon after having a bit too much to drink, not that I suggest it
- I can tour and do 22 different gigs (speaking/singing/dance) in 7 days
- I can write a book in 3 months.
- I can do whatever your job is requiring!!!!"

I think my official bio (and I will have to check) says this:
Heather lives in Kamloops BC with her 4 children.  Heather is a singer/song writer, dancer/choreographer, painter and writer.
She has her own professional dance company "Collective Productions" though which she brings out a message of mercy and compassion for those who are less fortunate and is also the owner of DNA Academy, a dance and arts school.

She travels internationally singing, leading worship and speaking, calling people into a greater place of wholeness, healing and freedom in their lives and in their relationship with God.

If you really want to know about me though, these are much more important facts:
- I don't really like chocolate and I know that disqualfies me as female at least to some degree.
- I eat a LOT of pickled beets.
- I love philosophy almost as much as I love anything.
- I'm divorced like... um what are the stats now?... like 50% of you who are reading this. It's not something I am proud of and yet, it's something I'm proud of, and you have to know me more to understand the mystery of that statement.
- I have a particular liking for really chubby babies.
- I regain any feminine authority that I lost from not liking chocolate, by my professional ability to shop world wide! I have only been beat by the Nike waffle racer that still I have not found.
- I teach Zumba
- I drink a tall Americao misto, non fat milk, 2 splenda.  If it's too hot out, then sometimes the light coffee frap but more often the berry refresher. (we call those berries "gracious berries" and pretend that when we eat them, they make us gracious. Everyone has to be ridiculous sometimes)

  5. Muscians come a dime a dozen, but psalmists are created by God, formed by God, and then breathed into by God, to bring a prophetic anointing into a meeting, so we can terrorize the forces of darkness, and antagonize the devil ! ~ Ruckins McKinley
